Ms. Harlow's third-grade reading groups spent time reading and comparing fiction and non-fiction books based on robots. This week, they concluded the unit and researched how to build a robot and we were able to build a robot with a small motor and AA batteries. The students concentrated on reading, research, mathematics, the scientific method, and working as a team to solve problems!

Kindness is at the heart of our school community, and today we celebrate our students who demonstrate it daily. On World Kindness Day, remember that even small acts—like inviting someone to join a game or sharing encouraging words—can have a lasting impact. Let’s continue making kindness the foundation of our learning! 🌼❤️

At West Point Public Schools, we believe great leadership starts at the top. That's why we're proud to celebrate our incredible principals. Our principals are the backbone of our schools, setting the vision, supporting our teachers, and ensuring our students receive the quality education they deserve. Their dedication, creativity, and commitment to excellence are an inspiration to us all. This video highlights the work of Principal Kristen Britt at West Point Elementary School. Share a message of gratitude, attend a school event, or simply take a moment to thank her for all she does. Strong principals make strong schools, and we're grateful to have such incredible leaders guiding our West Point community. View the Video: https://youtu.be/8jhGSveCb00
